Annual Plant Sales
City of Harrisonville, First Weekend of May, Citywide Garage Sale
City of Peculiar, Last Saturday of May, Citywide Garage Sale
Memorial Brick
Embossed with cancer ribbon or military branch of service, name and date of person
memorialized. Bricks laid at PLANT IT PINK park or Veteran’s Memorial. Sell for $30.

SPECIAL PROJECTS
PLANT IT PINK - a dedicated garden planted, decorated, and landscaped in pink to draw
attention to cancer awareness.
REPURPOSED GIFTS - collected all year, packed into Christmas bags with special goodies;
gift bag and special dinner provided by Harrisonville Senior Center, delivered on Christmas
Day by the director of the Senior Center to those forgotten, alone shut-ins.
NEIGHBORHOOD GARDEN - pilot project fashioned after community garden concept and
University of Missouri’s EATING’ FROM THE GARDEN. Small square foot plots planted,
maintained, harvested by families or groups. Accredited and in-training Master Gardeners
on-site for guidance.
