Susan Smith's husband passed away
Charles J. Smith, age 61 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 6th, 2010 at 10 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton with burial in the Yeater Cemetery, Osceola, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Monday, July 5th, at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Hope Lodge, Kansas City, Missouri and can be left at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton. Charles was born in Independence, Missouri, the son of Charles M. and Myrtle S. (Jamison) Smith. He was a science teacher and the network administrator for the Osceola Public Schools. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton, the Sunrise Optimist Club, Clinton, the N. R. A., the Henry County Cattleman Association and the Simmental Cattle Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Smith, one brother Merrill Smith and one sister, Charlene Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of the home; three sons, Chad J. Smith of Concordia, Missouri, Clay J. Smith of Moberly, Missouri and Matt J. Smith of Warrensburg, Missouri; his mother, Myrtle Geisinger and his sister, Patricia McCandless, both of Clinton, and six grandchildren.
